Providing Sustainable Energy through Gasification

From Waste to Energy, Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, and E-Fuels

Introduction
Redlin AG stands at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions, utilizing cutting-edge gasification technology to transform waste into valuable energy resources. This approach not only aids in waste management but also contributes significantly to the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and e-fuels. Through their innovative processes, Redlin AG is paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Gasification Technology
Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil-based carbonaceous materials into carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. This is achieved by reacting the material at high temperatures (>2000°C), without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam. The result is a syngas (synthesis gas) which can be used as a fuel or as an intermediate for producing chemicals and other fuels.
Waste to Energy
One of the most remarkable applications of gasification technology by Redlin AG is the conversion of waste into energy. This process not only reduces the amount of waste destined for landfills but also generates a reliable source of energy. Municipal solid waste, agricultural residues, and industrial by-products are transformed into syngas, which can then be used to produce electricity, heat, or further refined into other valuable products.

Green Hydrogen Production
Hydrogen is a clean energy carrier, and when produced sustainably, it offers a promising solution to reducing carbon emissions. Redlin AG's gasification process efficiently produces green hydrogen from waste materials. The hydrogen generated can be used in fuel cells to power vehicles, in industrial processes, or as a clean energy source for electricity generation. This method ensures that the hydrogen production is not only environmentally friendly but also economically viable.

Ammonia as an Energy Carrier
Ammonia, traditionally known for its use in fertilizers, is gaining recognition as a potential energy carrier. Redlin AG capitalizes on its gasification technology to produce ammonia from waste materials. The ammonia produced can be used as a fuel for power generation, in transportation, or as a means to store and transport hydrogen. Its high hydrogen content and ease of liquefaction make it a practical option for energy storage and distribution.

E-Fuels: The Future of Transportation
E-fuels, or synthetic fuels, are produced using renewable energy sources and can be used in existing internal combustion engines. Redlin AG's gasification process enables the production of e-fuels from waste-derived syngas. These e-fuels are designed to replace conventional fossil fuels, providing a sustainable alternative for the transportation sector. By utilizing e-fuels, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of vehicles and other machinery without the need for extensive modifications to existing infrastructure.
